Fall is soon upon us. Though here, in Florida, the evidence of autumn takes a little longer to be seen. We don’t have the beauty of the leaves changing colors or the crisp, cool air everyone north of Georgia is blessed with this time of year. But there is a certain something you can sense in the air. Something that makes you all warm and fuzzy knowing with it brings the promise of cooler temperatures and family centered holidays.
Along with more moderate temperatures and the closeness of family, fall also reunites me with a couple of my favorite things. Hot coffee and pumpkin spiced anything and everything. I love coffee. But it is just too stinkin’ hot in the South, for me anyway, to drink a steaming cuppa. I just can’t do it. On the occasions I do drink coffee, it has to be iced. But in the fall, I get to once again enjoy my love affair with hot coffee. And if it is pumpkin spiced or served with a warm piece of pumpkin bread .. all the better!
And wouldn’t you know, Starbucks has both Pumpkin Spice Lattes AND Pumpkin Bread! So as soon as it really starts to feel like fall here, that is where you can find me. At Starbucks enjoying a nice latte and slice of pumpkin bread with my girlfriends!
